Job Description
Job Title:  Python Developer
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: 12 months 
 
Day to day what are the responsibilities?
  • New builds/ coding from scratch or maintaining code/ upgrades?
  • Lots of new development
  • Improving existing code
  • Agile methodology - daily stand-up with the development team
 
Must-haves/key-skills needed
  1. Python Development Experience Intermediate to Senior (4-5 years)
    1. Server side development
    2. Familiar with Front end - Angular or Javascript
    3. Object oriented programming
    4. Using Flask
  1. Financial background - knowledge of investment banking industry and terminology (preferably regulatory reporting)
  2. Good communication
  3. 70% backend, 30% front
  4. Work independently
  5. Object Database i.e. MongoDB or noSQL
  6. Work with teams cross functionally)

  1. Fullstack developer (backend focused)
  2. Regulatory reporting knowledge
  3. Angular or Javascript
  4. Microservices
  5. Multithreading
  6. Should understand design patterns
  7. Writing unit tests in Python
