Title: Data Analyst

Client: Mortgage 

Location:  McLean, VA

Duration: 06 months Contract to hire

Our Impact:

The Capital Markets division supports the liquidity of the mortgage markets and makes funding more available by purchasing mortgage-related securities guaranteed by financial institutions in its investment portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Degree in accounting, quantitative finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, data analytics or a related quantitative field preferred, with 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Work experience and proficiency in programming and/or data mining languages such as SQL, Python or SAS
• Experience working with large data sets and relational databases
• Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use SQL to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbooks
• Proven experience writing SQL to query complex data structures and working with analytics
• Expertise with Python coding
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of application development following Agile methodology
• Strong data and financial analytical skills; Ability to quickly understand complex financial concepts; Mortgage industry experience preferred
