Position Details:

Title: Data Security Engineer

Duration: 9+ Months

Location: Toronto, ON ( 5+ day/month onsite on core days)

Start Date: ASAP 

Interview Process:  2 Rounds (One video and One in-person)

Day to Day:

• Work with vendors to solution, build, configure and deploy DDaR service from DEV, UAT to PROD using BigID product
• Follow Agile methodology to setup environment, configure, test, debug, and document to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of the service during/post project
• Work with consumers to integrate and scan various data sources with DDaR service
• Work with other technology partners to design and integrate DCLM with other enterprise services, like log management, Single Sign On (SSO)
• Provide production support, and work with AO partners on problem troubleshooting/solving

Must Haves

• 5+ years- Strong knowledge Linux OS administration, automation and Shell scripting
• Hands-on experiences with T-SQL, Python and PySpark (or Spark SQL) for data manipulation and transformation
• Hands-on experiences of various databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and Big Data environments (ADLS, Azure Databricks)
• Hands-on experiences of DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions/Jenkins and Artifactory
• Hands-on experiences of Data Analysis Tools: Looker, Power BI or Tableau
• Hands-on experiences with ServiceNow for change management and intake estimation in an corporate environment (e.g., banking)
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and managing containerized applications in Azure
• Working knowledge of Azure Networking such as network peering, network security gateway, etc.

Plusses

• Working experience with data discovery and classification tools (e.g.,Purview, BigID, OneTrust, Varonis)
• Data Pipelines - Developing large-scale data pipelines, including Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in both batch and real-time environments.
• Degree/diploma in Computer Science, and/or a related field.
