Position Details:

Position: Linux Shell Scripting Engineer

Location: Plano

Duration: 12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)                              

Must Haves:

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong emphasis on Linux development.
• Strong Practical working experience in Linux server configuration and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of SSH/SFTP including public key authentication and configuration options.
• Practical knowledge of Unix file systems, including mount types, permissions, standard tools, and pipes.
• Working knowledge of Python and preferably also Perl.
• Experience using and configuring common SDLC tools that support Agile, such as Jira, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Practical working experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle Exadata.
• Understanding of the Agile methodology.

Day To Day:

• Implement, configure, and manage Linux-based processes and infrastructure for data warehousing
• Identify system vulnerabilities and access control issues, troubleshoot them, and implement necessary improvements
• Enhance various Linux-based toolsets, scripts, jobs, and processes
