Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst for our Clinical Study Payments Team. This role involves financial analysis, invoicing, and reporting activities in support of clinical studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance/accounting, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement. Familiarity with automated accounting systems and experience in a manufacturing or clinical research environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and process clinical study invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research on payment issues, ensuring accuracy and presenting findings to relevant departments.
  • Review contract and grant agreements to identify financial risks and billing issues.
  • Assist in setting up new study budgets, managing quarterly payments, and creating special reports.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing relevant reports and analysis.
  • Engage in special project analysis and provide support involving clinical study payment data.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Study Data Systems team to enhance application functionalities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes within the Clinical Payments Group.
  • Perform detailed analysis of clinical study payment data according to defined requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures, updating them as necessary.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of financial and other sensitive data at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Computer Information Systems.
  • 1-3 years of experience in finance/accounting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in invoicing.
  • Experience with automated accounting systems, and a strong understanding of relational databases is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present and analyze data effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity for accuracy.
  • Professional interaction skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Experience in process and procedure analysis and improvement is highly desirable.
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing or clinical research environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP Enterprise Software is highly desirable.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services is a plus.

Pay Range: $25/hr to $30/hr
