Position Details:

Title: Quantitative Business Analyst

Type (Contract, C2H):  1 year plus extension (up to 3 years)

Location: Toronto, ON - (3x/week in office)

Shift/Core Hours: 37.5

Compensation: $90/hour

 

What are they expected to accomplish on a high level:

  • Risk Reporting - determining risk
  • Valuation
  • Pricing
  • VAR
  • Stress testing

Day to day what are the responsibilities:

  • Data manipulations - using Excel
  • Presenting data 
  • Engage with stakeholders on user enquiries and data analysis.
  • Working with users, developers
  • Using Quant background for pricing
  • Writing requirements

Must-haves/key skills needed:

  • 7-10 years
  • SQL
  • Quant
  • Pricing, risk factors, margin, VAR, Stress testing
  • Product knowledge - equity, bonds, swops, derivates
  • Excel - pivot tables
  • Communication is key

Plusses:

  • Degree in Mathematics or Quant Finance.
  • Enterprise
  • Testing - i.e. acceptance testing, UAT
  • Working with trading desks/ equity
  • Python (for data analysis) / Scripting.
  • CFA/FRM
  • Capital Markets
  • Experience working in pricing or risk systems
  • Python: Understanding Python functions, doing investigations, understanding code, running scripts.
  • BA in front office
