Location: Chicago, IL

Pay Range: $50/hr-$70/hr

About the Role:
This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. The key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. The individual will work as a team member under supervision from a more senior domain expert and will interact with various stakeholders such as Product Owner, Scrum Master, Development Team, Feature Lead, Architect, and Dev Community of Practice.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Participate and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Utilize multiple architectural components in the design and development of client requirements.
• Assist the team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Design/develop/modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
• Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
• Automate manual release activities.
• Mentor other Software Engineers and coach the team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.

Education Qualification:

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Required Skills:

• Strong development skills in Java.
• Strong working knowledge of Spring Boot.
• Good programming skills including understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and multi-threading.
• Experience with large scale, globally distributed systems with an emphasis on high availability.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Experience in 3rd line production support.
• Great team player with the ability to mentor other team members.
• Willingness to get involved even when not in the area of expertise.
