Pay Range: $38 - $40 Hourly

About the Role:

• We are looking for a detail-oriented Engineering Technician with a fundamental understanding of utility system design and analysis.
• The ideal candidate will be proficient in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
• This role involves working on-site three day a week and remotely two day a week.
• The Engineering Technician will play a key role in designing and coordinating projects, working closely with internal departments and contractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software (MicroStation V8i or v10, AutoCAD, Open Plant) to create and modify technical drawings and designs.
• Apply utility design and construction standards to ensure designs meet industry compliance.
• Analyze project scope, industry standards, maps, and blueprint drawings for design requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to review project needs and identify appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and update project work orders, forms, and system application data.
• Conduct site visits for data collection and provide support during construction activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Qualification:

• Technical or Engineering Associate Degree or equivalent years of applicable experience.

Required Skill:

• Proficiency in CAD software (MicroStation V8i or v10, AutoCAD, Open Plant).
• Knowledge of utility operations.
• Strong problem-solving and technical writing abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
• Interpersonal skill and ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong project planning and coordination abilities.

Additional Skill:

• Experience in permitting for utility projects.
• Knowledge of utility design principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Survey AutoCAD tools.
• Familiarity with Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
• Advanced CAD proficiency.
