Job Summary: The O365 Engineer (SharePoint Specialist) will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint environments within the Office 365 suite. This role requires a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, administration, and customization to support business needs and enhance collaboration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage SharePoint Online environments.
- Develop and implement SharePoint solutions, including custom workflows, web parts, and site templates.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of SharePoint sites and related O365 services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the security and compliance of SharePoint environments, including data governance and access controls.
- Provide end-user support and training on SharePoint features and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and optimize SharePoint environments for efficiency and reliability.
- Stay current with O365 and SharePoint updates, features, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SharePoint administration and development.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 services, particularly SharePoint Online.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration.
- Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and Power Automate.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and modern SharePoint development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Associate or Expert.
- Experience with migration tools such as ShareGate or Metalogix.
- Knowledge of other O365 services like Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
