Job Overview
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing purchased materials, components, and products to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role involves conducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections, recording test data, and identifying non-conformances to maintain high product quality and reliability.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials and products per documented procedures.
  • Operate test and measurement equipment according to established guidelines.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and collect relevant data.
  • Execute inspections and testing as part of special test requests (STRs).
Documentation & Compliance
  • Record inspection and test results following company policies and procedures.
  • Document non-conformances in the Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) system.
  • Support Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies as directed by engineers or technicians.
Process Improvement & Training:
  • Recommend and assist in updating policies and procedures related to quality inspection.
  • Prepare and submit change requests as needed.
  • Train and mentor other inspectors on testing and inspection procedures.
Regulatory & Quality Systems Support
  • Support divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in data gathering, analysis, and trend identification to drive quality improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Familiarity with Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) systems and quality documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI) and GR&R studies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members on inspection processes.

Pay Range: $24/hr. - $27/hr.
