Description:

  • The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance to computer users by resolving hardware, software, and system issues. This role involves analyzing incoming requests, troubleshooting problems, and delivering effective solutions in person, over the phone, or electronically. The specialist also supports documentation, system performance improvements, and disaster recovery efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prioritize support requests, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system updates.
  • Lead disaster recovery processes and improve system performance through trend analysis.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support and mentor team members.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve service failures.

Required Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with operating systems, word processing, and network systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Leadership experience in technical projects.
  • Familiarity with IT disaster recovery processes.
  • Advanced problem-solving and data analysis skills.

Pay rate:
$35/hr. - $40/hr.
