Job Summary
  • The Cyber Security Engineer at our company is responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance and operation of Information Security Systems to ensure controls are adequate and effective.
  • This role involves analyzing scenarios, providing solutions, and making recommendations to protect the environment, customers, and employees.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Creating new solutions to resolve existing production security issues
  • Investigating intrusion incidents, conducting forensic investigations, and mounting incident responses
  • Evaluating new technologies and processes to enhance security capabilities
  • Establishing plans and protocols to protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction
  • Delivering technical reports on daily activities
  • Analyzing and advising on new security technologies and program conformance
  • Maintaining knowledge of current emerging technologies and advancements within Information Security
  • Taking initiative and responsibility for achieving desired results
 
Education Qualification:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Eight (8) years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or directly related field (preferred)
  • Relevant security certifications (preferred)
  • Financial services experience (preferred)
 
Required Skills:
  • Strong organizational, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations, and take effective action
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts or scenarios to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more security domains
  • API Testing Experience is Required
