Production Support Engineer (SWIFT/Payments) – Hybrid

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid )
Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $50 - $55/hr 

Job Role:

We are seeking a Production Support Engineer with expertise in SWIFT and payment systems to join our team. This role involves supporting critical global banking applications, ensuring stability, performance, and incident resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 application support for global banking and payment systems.
• Monitor and respond to incidents, alerts, and job failures in production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SWIFT, UNIX/Linux, and database-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive problem resolution.
• Execute and manage scheduled infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Work with WebLogic, IIS, and WebSphere MQ to troubleshoot middleware issues.
• Support release deployments and production change tasks.
• Ensure compliance with incident, problem, and change management processes (ITSM, Remedy).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, operations, and development teams.
• Automate tasks and optimize support processes through scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).

Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in SWIFT and financial/payment systems support.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and database management.
• Experience with middleware technologies such as WebLogic, IIS, and WebSphere MQ.
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), Incident, Problem, and Change Management (Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Ability to analyze application logs, investigate performance issues, and optimize system efficiency.
• Familiarity with API calls (HTTP protocols) and troubleshooting integration issues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize technical issues at a business level.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, or similar).
• Background in financial services or global banking environments.
• Hands-on experience in production deployments and change management processes.
