Title: Social Media Marketing Manager (Sports Industry)
Location: Toronto, ON M5H 3Y2 (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $45/hr to $50/hr
Duration: 11 months
Job Description:
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering results on social media, with the ability to develop strategy from scratch, sell big ideas internally and externally, multi-task and prioritize, manage a high-volume of social content while keeping a long term goal of building one solid brand positioning. The successful candidate needs to be nimble and creative, with a drive for testing, learning and making insight- and data-driven decisions.
Key job responsibilities:
- Oversee creative ideation and development to deliver innovative, best-in-class always-on social content for customers to drive new and existing fans to tune into sports events.
- Work closely and collaboratively across brand, creative, paid social, and synergy teams to champion social-first ideas and execute global integrated activations, influencers plans, events and strategies to promote our movies and series campaigns
- Foster social conversation and leverage to build vibrant communities though real time and reactive strategies
- Own paid media strategy for editorial boosting
- Manage social media agencies and oversee campaign planning and management
- Manage influencers, players and talents to deliver high-engaging content on and off-handles
- Partner with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations
- Develop and own goals and performance metrics for social accounts; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement
- Present to senior leadership regularly on campaign plans and results
- Continuously ideate and innovate within the social space.
- This role requires travel within North America and work on some nights and weekends.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in social marketing, including creative development
- Experience generating and executing large-scale social media campaigns across digital platforms with a track record of growing audiences and delivering on engagement metrics
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners/talent
- Experience working with social and digital agencies, Creative editorial experience, ideally within social media
Preferred Qualifications:
- Analytic and quantitative skills - ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives
- Experience launching and/or directly managing sports social accounts with over 1MM social followers
Must Have:
- Must be very experienced with managing social handles for large-scale companies.
- Sports knowledge, experience, and personal passion about sports. Needs to be up to date with sports
