IT Project Manager / Scrum Master

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract (12-18 months, potential for conversion)
Pay Range: $60 - $65 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Scrum Master to join a dynamic team within the Employee Experience Technology space. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, capable of managing project delivery, enterprise change management, and deployments. The candidate will be responsible for leading the Manage phase of a large-scale Global Procurement technology initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive project execution, ensuring successful delivery of key milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical Project Managers (TPMs), Scrum Masters (SMs), and leadership, to align project objectives and track progress.
• Manage Enterprise Change Management (ECM) processes and oversee deployments while adhering to established banking guidelines.
• Actively engage in problem-solving, risk management, and issue resolution, rather than just providing status updates.
• Present project updates to leadership in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
• Utilize tools like JIRA and MS Project for project tracking and reporting.
• Foster Agile best practices within the team while balancing hybrid project management needs.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, managing technology-driven projects.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile-Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex project statuses for leadership.
• Proactive problem-solving skills – must take initiative and actively work toward solutions.
• Experience working in a structured, process-driven enterprise environment, following regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in JIRA and MS Project.
• One or more Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, PSM, SAFe) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in hybrid project management methodologies (Agile + Waterfall).
• Experience working in financial services, banking, or procurement technology environments.
• Ability to work effectively in high-visibility, fast-paced projects.
