Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV (CAD/CAM Engineer)

Pay Rate: $60/hr to $62/hr

Job Description:

About HM and Team:

• The Hiring manager is a Principal Engineer at a client aerospace project, working on the LEO (Low Earth Orbit) constellation satellites under our client.
• He is looking for a CAD/CAM proficient Mechanical Design Engineer to help design tools and fixtures for the components that are installed on the satellites.
• These components are tested before installation, so we require custom test fixtures and attachments that interface with the components being tested.
• The role involves developing CAD/CAM tools and fixtures to enhance the efficiency of the testing process, particularly for the components tested on test benches or stations.
• The position is a full-time, on-site role in Redmond, working 5 day a week.
• There will be one round of interviews.

 Top 3 Skills Required:

• Proficiency with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) and CAM systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices (e.g., molding, 3D printing, injection molding, machining)
• Familiarity with finite element analysis is highly preferred.

 Additional Preferences:

• Aerospace experience is not required.
• We’re primarily looking for candidates with experience in test systems, particularly those involved in high-velocity manufacturing and testing processes.
• Experience with NX CAD is a plus, but we will consider candidates with SolidWorks or other CAD tools as well.

 Minimum Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience with structural engineering analysis and CAD/CAM tools (especially AutoCAD).
• We need someone who can hit the ground running, so training won’t be provided.
• This role will involve working closely with LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) design engineers to develop processes and fixtures that improve testing and installation efficiency.
