About the Role:
  • The Design Technician will provide design support for the transmission pipeline engineering department utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Responsibilities include the identification of system materials and their application; engaging in planning and research; providing field design and support for utility systems; adherence to standard work processes; and the application of industry standards.
  • The Design Technician will be expected to design a variety of projects complexities ranging from standard to complex, and will frequently coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and leadership to ensure compliance and effective management of project tasks.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide design support for the transmission pipeline engineering department
  • Identify system materials and their application
  • Engage in planning and research
  • Provide field design and support for utility systems
  • Adhere to standard work processes and industry standards
  • Design projects of varying complexities
  • Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and leadership
Education Qualification:
  • An associates degree in the requisite scientific or technical field.
