DevOps Engineer

Location: Addison, TX (100% Onsite)
Job Type: Contract 
Pay Range: $70-75 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and help streamline software development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and monitoring. You will work closely with development and operations teams to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability across the organization's technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Manage infrastructure and containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Implement end-to-end automation and one-click deployment solutions.
• Develop and optimize scripting solutions using Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Monitor system performance and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and secure deployments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Adhere to best practices in DevSecOps, infrastructure security, and configuration management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure management.
• Expertise in Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration and OpenShift.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift).
• Experience implementing security best practices in DevOps (DevSecOps).
• Familiarity with cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
