Title: Python Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC/ St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

MUST HAVES:

• - Minimum 3-5 years truly hands on/writing concepts with following tools: 

• Python  
• Kafka 
• MongoDB   

• Understanding of Micro Services/Data Products/Product Domains 
• Strong Python development skills with experience in data processing
• Generalist mindset with the ability to work across multiple technologies
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed

PLUSSES:

• Data Mesh 
• PL SQL
• Light modeling and analysis experience

• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (Google Cloud, Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

DAY TO DAY:

• Develop and maintain Python-based solutions for data processing, transformation, and integration.
• Work on real-time and batch data ingestion, transformation, and publishing using Python, SQL, and related technologies.
• Consume and process data from various sources, including APIs, files, and replication systems like Oracle Xtract.
• Perform light data analysis and modeling to ensure data quality and usability.
• Collaborate with team members, including offshore developers, to align on technical solutions and best practices.
• Utilize tools like Informatica, PL/SQL, and Unix for ETL and legacy system support as needed.
• Work with cloud-based technologies (Google Cloud, Hadoop, Spark) where applicable.
• Build reports and support database-related development in SQL, PL/SQL, or Java.
• Ensure clean, efficient, and scalable code while maintaining flexibility in changing tech environments.

DayToDay Responsbilities:

• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Python to support scalable and efficient data operations.
• Design and implement real-time streaming solutions with Kafka to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Work with MongoDB and SQL to manage, query, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Contribute to microservices architecture, ensuring seamless integration across data products and product domains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain RESTful APIs and support CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.

Must Have:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with expertise in Python, Kafka, MongoDB, and SQL.
• Strong background in data processing and microservices development.
• Understanding of data products, product domains, and how to optimize for performance and scalability.
• Experience designing and building scalable solutions in a large data environment.
• Ability to write and conceptualize technical solutions for complex data-driven applications.

NiceToHave:

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Git for version control.
• Background in large-scale data warehousing (Oracle or similar).
• Prior experience as a tech lead or developer who has transitioned into modern data technologies
