• Manage collections of patient accounts, ensuring timely and accurate claim submissions.
• Review EOBs from insurance companies and discuss claim details with patients over the phone.
• Handle a high volume of inbound calls related to billing inquiries and claim statuses.
• Utilize proper billing codes and follow payer guidelines for claims and appeals.
• Initiate contact with insurance carriers to determine claim status and resolve outstanding balances.
• Maintain detailed and accurate collection notes on all accounts.
• Process appeals and research claims, ensuring compliance with government payer guidelines.

• Must have prior medical billing/collections experience.
• Strong knowledge of AR/Collections, Billing/Collections, Medicaid and Medicare collections.
• Familiarity with government payer guidelines for appeals and claim submissions.
• Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in data entry and time management.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.

• 2 to 3 years of experience in medical billing/collections (mid-level experience preferred).
• Background in accounting is a plus.

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).

Pay Range: $22/hr. - $23/hr.
