About the Role:
The Software Engineer at Regions is responsible for overseeing application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position involves monitoring system applications, ensuring smooth system operations, and creating reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions. The Software Engineer will be a part of Regions' Technology department.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee development and installation of new hardware and software
  • Install and configure systems and other software
  • Test installed software for malfunction detection
  • Identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems
  • Measure effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
  • Monitor and test system performance
  • Have full ownership of a process
  • Act as a procedural expert
  • Lead the work of junior level associates
 
Education Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
 
Required Skills:
  • Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals
  • Conduct system analysis to detect performance issues
  • Develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong executional capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, and computing systems
  • Experience with ARGO banking platform (ARGO DATA) (2+ years)
  • Experience with ARGO Sales and Service or web-based Teller (2+ years)
