JOB DESCRIPTION:
We have an opening for a Solution Engineer position (Application Engineer working on building the Solution deployment; could be once a week) to join our Stores engineering team.
As a member of the Stores Application engineering team, you will develop strong and significant relationships throughout the Back of Stores Product ART and the Client IT Shared Services.
This role will support non-production and also go live activities for Kronos WFM. This person will be responsible for implementing, adhering to, and advocating for ITIL best practices regards to stores and selling systems.
This person should be available to work during the off hour shifts to support the Kronos WFM deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Kronos WFM Application support engineer role focuses on operations support, code deployments and rollout issues to ensure consistent delivery of IT services to our business stakeholders
  • This support role is responsible for the Kronos WFM support that spans entire Client
  • This engineer will work with BOS scrum teams on Kronos WFM development and deployment work
  • This engineer will act as a SME supporting Helpdesk and L2 teams
  • Willing to support and be on the off hours shifts (off hour shifts for solution deployment; could be once a week)
  • This is a highly visible to the business and hands on role
  • Daily tasks include analyzing diagnostics using Splunk monitoring tool, troubleshooting, addressing Kronos WFM software problems during outages and making sure that all the critical Kronos WFM technology components are recovered in time and provide technical support to businesses teams (Splunk experience is a preference)
  • As well as plan for problematic situations and create procedures to restore systems and their functionality
  • Candidate should have good understanding of Kronos WFM
  • Responsible for coding systems or updating programs by altering code strings (mainly Java) if necessary
  • Should have high level understanding on Client platform footprint that includes Oracle technology products, Exadata Cloud, VMware – Linux VM, HyperV and windows 10 (ALL REQUIRED)
  • Escalate the incidents to leads if you see that issue is not getting attention
  • Cross collaborate with different scrum teams and also owning any of the takeaways
  • Partner with our third-party support vendor to ensure system stability
  • Manage the upgrade process to the newest version of the software
  • Provide customer service to internal and external guests to ensure consistent experience
  • Documenting any new issues as the SOP’s for the support teams
  • Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ year’s of IT experience implementing different Kronos WFM products (REQUIRED)
  • 3+ year’s of experience implementing Oracle Exadata Cloud Service / at Customer (REQUIRED)
  • 2+ year’s of experience using enterprise software development;
  • Experience with Java (REQUIRED)
  • 3+ of experience on Jboss/Oracle Weblogic server (REQUIRED)
  • Solid understanding about Oracle Database 12c/19c/21c
  • Java software design and/or development
  • Functional and technical knowledge of Kronos WFM upgrades
  • Hands-on experience in planning, testing, and executing upgrades and patches
  • Communication skills - Must be able to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills - including the use of written, electronic, and oral communication
  • Sound problem-solving, reasoning, analytical, aptitude, attention to detail skills
  • Time-management skills, self-motivated and directed
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language/
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
