Role Overview:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Gen AI Engineer to join our team in Toronto. As a Gen AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced NLP and Generative AI applications using Python.
  • You will be responsible for implementing back-end APIs, optimizing application performance, and ensuring scalability.
  • This role involves collaboration in database design and management, with a focus on integrating various Azure services to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated NLP and Generative AI applications in Python.
  • Implement back-end APIs using FastAPI and Docker to deliver Python services to front-end applications.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability, with a focus on Azure services.
  • Collaborate on database design and management using MongoDB.
  • Utilize Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps for building and deploying API-based solutions.
  • Work with Azure AI services, Vector databases, LLMs, and RAG pipelines.
  • Integrate Azure services with other components of the tech stack to create comprehensive solutions.
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of APIs and UI/UX solutions on Azure, leveraging features like auto-scaling and caching.
  • Apply Azure DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.
  • Use Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for the containerized deployment and orchestration of API-based solutions.
  • Manage container images securely with Azure Container Registry (ACR).
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Generative AI.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Demonstrated expertise in Python, especially for NLP and AI applications.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and integrating Azure services.
  • Strong understanding of Azure architecture and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps practices and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Experience with modern LLM-based libraries such as LangChain, PyTorch, GPT, and Transformers.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
