What will they accomplish on a high level:

Under the general supervision of the Student Information Systems (SIS) Products and Applications Manager, the candidate will be part of a dynamic, collaborative and an innovative development team, responsible for producing quality code as it pertains to application development.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to and participate regularly in the Software Development Life Cycle methodology that the team uses, for implementation of enterprise-wide solutions, to its divisional clients across the university (Tri-Campus).

Day to Day:

Working with team of 4 other developers and the design team
Front end (70%) back end (30%)
Following agile methodology, building the UI/interface for faculty facing components
UI solution breakdown for enhancements
Create Angular components for the enhancements
Create Angular services to support the enhancements
Refactor existing functionality from AngularJS to Angular to support the enhancements
Create/modify state management for the enhancements
Integrate UTM enhancement front ends with CIS APIs
Create front end unit tests

Must Haves:

7+ years of IT experience in large scale technology architecture, operations, and design-related disciplines.

5+ years’ experience in full stack application development; Java and Angular (13+) experience required.
5+ years working with Java applications, including REST API development and OAuth 2.
4+ years building front end applications using Angular and AngularJS.
Experience with NgRx.
Proficiency building Java web applications/APIs: Java Web Services, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Junit, JPA/Hibernate, maven and gradle.
Proficiency building front end applications with: JavaScript, Typescript, Angular 13+, HTML5 and CSS.

Plusses:

Understanding of Azure Function Apps, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus and Azure Queues.
Experience leading other front-end developers
Experience integrating front end calls with RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops or other project and task management applications.
Familiarity with Agile development processes.
Familiarity with building applications for Azure.
Previous public sector experience.
