Roles Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide application support and ensure stability for critical Mainframe applications in a global, team-oriented environment.
  • Monitor and manage Mainframe Batch/CICS production, including problem resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Onboard new client data feeds and reports.
  • Utilize programming skills in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, MQ Series, Endevor, FTP, and SAR.
  • Understand and manage Mainframe batch scheduling tools (CA7 or OPC/TWS).
  • Solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-ups.
  • Support multiple mainframe applications simultaneously.
  • Run triage calls effectively to resolve issues within SLA deadlines.
  • Coordinate with offshore/onshore support, business, vendor, and data center associates, including daily handoffs across regions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Post Trade Securities Processing, including Trades Processing, Clearing, Settlements, and Asset Services.
  • Work flexible hours as needed to handle high-priority issues, production recoveries, and communications.
Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in application support/development.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, MQ Series, Endevor, FTP, and SAR.
  • In-depth understanding of Mainframe batch scheduling tools (CA7 or OPC/TWS).
  • Experience with midrange applications (Windows, UNIX, LINUX, SQL) is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle production down situations.
  • Experience in coordinating with offshore/onshore support teams.
  • Knowledge of Post Trade Securities Processing.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong collaboration and independent investigation skills.
