About the Role

• This position involves providing intermediate-level intake and administrative services for patients being admitted to a hospital or treatment facility, or receiving outpatient services.
• The role includes obtaining demographic, insurance, and medical information, collecting co-pays and deposits, scheduling follow-up appointments, and ordering diagnostic tests as directed. 

Pay Range: $17- $20

Responsibilities-

• Conduct patient interviews to gather demographic information.
• Ensure reimbursement for services by verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining necessary authorizations within required time frames.
• Input patient registration information into the computer system and verify its accuracy.
• Provide accurate patient, medical, financial, or procedural information to patients or approved external entities.
• Discuss financial arrangements and issues with patients and/or family members.
• Facilitate patient and information flow by directing patients to correct locations, arranging patient transport, answering incoming calls, and providing clerical support.
• Maintain patient charts, prepare required forms, and manage inventory of supplies as needed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Serve as an onboarding resource for new patient services staff.

Education Qualification -

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Required Skills -

• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation.
• Understanding of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation.
• Proficiency in using personal computers and related software applications.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
