Summary:

  • Role: Engineering Services Test Technician

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work a part of a team to set up/ prepare test equipment for crash testing airplane seats.
  • Works with peers / engineers to build and test commercial aircraft seats and furniture
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
  • Confer with engineers on details and implications of test article build, test procedures and results.
  • Occasional overtime including weekends will be required.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and minimum 3 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with variety of hand tools
  • Proficient with basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretations.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace or automotive
  • Experience working in a testing and quality assurance environment
  • Well, organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast -paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment.

 

Pay Range:

  • $40-42/Hr
