Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (60%)

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for 12-15 open positions at a time, from job posting to offer acceptance.
  • Conduct sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinate with hiring managers and leadership.
  • Lead and manage university co-op programs (Wilfrid Laurier, University of Waterloo), including student recruitment, onboarding, and relationship building.
  • Represent the company at university recruitment fairs and events.
  • Act as the primary contact for recruitment-related initiatives and calls, occasionally joined by executive leadership.
  • Support inclusive and diverse hiring practices across Canada (Ontario, BC, Alberta, Quebec).

Compliance, Legal & Vendor Management (30%)

  • Oversee compliance with Canadian employment laws (ESA, EODA in Ontario, Bill 96 in Quebec).
  • Partner with internal teams to support certifications and policy transfers as required.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee health and safety programs across four office locations, ensuring regular check-ins and project oversight.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maintain up-to-date documentation and processes.

General HR Support (10%)

  • Provide additional HR support as needed, assisting with employee questions, documentation, and other HR initiatives.
  • Stay current on employment legislation across Canadian provinces and contribute to HR projects.

    SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent acquisition and the areas mentioned above.
    • Fluently bilingual in French and English.
    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
