Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Austin, TX - Onsite
Pay Rate: $60-70

Must Haves:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Instrumentation Engineer, specifically working with automation and/or electromechanical systems within industrial environments.
  • Experience with hardware selection, sensor sizing, reviewing P&IDs/PFDs, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Proficient in modern text-based programming languages (Python, Java, C, VB) and relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Access).
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs (preferred), but Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff experience is acceptable.
  • Proficiency in SPI (InTools) or similar tools for creating and managing instrument lists, wiring terminations, and calibrated ranges.
  • Competence in selecting circuit protection devices, sensors, VFDs, remote I/O modules, and PLC hardware.
